Machine Vision Online Celebrates First Anniversary
POSTED 05/01/2001
Ann Arbor, MI - Machine Vision Online (www.machinevisiononline.org), the world's leading Internet resource for machine vision information, is now celebrating its first anniversary and looks forward to many more successful years.
"Our mission was to create a site that everyone involved in machine vision would find useful," said Jeffrey A. Burnstein, Executive Director of the Automated Imaging Association (AIA), the trade group that sponsors the site.
"Whether it's a potential customer looking for a supplier, or a current user looking for applications advice, or a system integrator looking for new products, or a student looking for a career in the industry, or a researcher looking for a new technical resource, it's all on Machine Vision Online.
"We've been able to build and expand Machine Vision Online because of the strong support from our members. By providing meaningful content and sponsorship support, they've allowed us to create an enormously powerful resource that now reaches more than 1,000 users every week," Burnstein explained.
"Machine Vision Online, and its sister site Robotics Online (www.roboticsonline.com), save users time and money. For instance, as recently as two years ago, 75% of the registrants for the International Robots & Vision Show signed-up by fax, phone or mail. For this year's show (June 5-7 in Rosemont, IL), more than 75% are signing-up online. No postage, no phone bill, just log-on, click a few buttons, and you're immediately registered and confirmed.
