The Atlas industrial camera is designed for applications requiring high bandwidth and high resolution in a compact size. The 5GBASE-T Ethernet interface is 5 times faster than Gigabit Ethernet, 50% faster than USB3.1 Gen1 and offers similar bandwidth as CameraLink, allowing the use of standard CAT5e and CAT6 cables up to 100 meters. Atlas features Power over Ethernet (PoE) that simplifies integration and reduces cost. Despite its compact 55 x 55 mm size, Atlas supports large format APS-C image sensors and operates over a wide ambient temperature range of -20°C to 55°C.
The Atlas camera series ranges from 5.0 to 31.4 Megapixel. The first models which are now shipping feature the color and monochrome version of the new 31.4 MP Sony IMX342 APS-C 4/3” global shutter CMOS sensor with a resolution of 6464 x 4852 px running at 17.9 fps, and the 12.3 MP Sony IMX253 1.1” C-mount with a resolution of 4096 x 3000 px running at 42 fps. These high-resolution sensors provide exceptional imaging performance, low noise, wide dynamic range and high quantum efficiency.
“The 5GBASE-T Atlas camera hits the sweet spot of faster frame rates, small size and excellent price-performance,” says Rod Barman, Founder and President at LUCID Vision Labs. “Featuring a wide lens selection with TFL-lens mount (M35), TFL adaptable to F-mount, and C-mount, robust M12 Ethernet and M8 GPIO connectors and Active Sensor Alignment for superior optical performance, make the Atlas camera ideal for a wide range of inspection applications such as flat panels, wafers, x-ray, electronics and cell phone components.”
Atlas is a GigE Vision and GenICam compliant camera capable of 600 MB per second data transfer rates (5Gbps). All LUCID cameras conform to the GigE Vision 2.0 and GenICam3 standards and are supported by LUCID’s own Arena software development kit. The Arena SDK provides customers with easy access to the latest industry standards and software technology. The SDK supports Windows, Linux 64bit and Linux ARM operating systems, and C, C++, C# and Python programming languages.
