LUCID Expanded 5GigE Atlas Camera Series with High-Performance Sony Pregius 16.8 MP and 19.6 MP CMOS Sensors
POSTED 07/11/2019
Richmond, BC, Canada – LUCID Vision Labs, Inc., a designer and manufacturer of unique and innovative industrial vision cameras, today announced the entry into serial production of its Atlas 16.8 MP and 19.6 MP cameras over 5GBASE-T PoE.
The new 5GigE Atlas models feature the latest high resolution Sony Pregius global shutter CMOS image sensors including the 16.8 MP IMX387 with a resolution of 5456 x 3076 px running at 33 fps, and the 19.6 MP IMX367 with a resolution of 4416 x 4428 px running at 28 fps. With a 4/3” format, both these models are equipped with a TFL lens mount (M35 x 0.75) which can easily be adapted to F-mount and C-mount.
“The new Sony Pregius IMX387 and IMX367 global shutter CMOS image sensors provide excellent performance and image quality for high-end optical inspection over 5GBASE-T,” says Rod Barman, Founder and President at LUCID Vision Labs. “With the addition of our high resolution Atlas models, we are now pleased to be shipping a variety of sensors ranging from 5 MP to 31.4 MP.”
The 5GigE Atlas camera is designed for applications requiring high bandwidth and high resolution in a compact size. The 5GBASE-T Ethernet interface is 5 times faster than Gigabit Ethernet, 50% faster than USB3.1 Gen1 and offers similar bandwidth as CameraLink, and allows the use of standard CAT5e and CAT6 cables up to 100 meters. Atlas features Power over Ethernet (PoE) that simplifies integration and reduces cost. Despite its compact 55 x 55 mm size, Atlas supports large format APS-C image sensors and features Active Sensor Alignment for superior optical performance.
