Leading End Users to Present Case Studies at Robots & Vision Show
Ann Arbor, MI - Three leading end users of robotic systems have been added to the speaker lineup at the International Robots & Vision Conference in Rosemont (Chicago), IL, June 5-7, 2001.
Rich Hinkle of Sensormatic Electronics, Houman Kashanipour of International Truck & Engine, and David Watson of Pepperidge Farm will provide attendees with case studies of successful robot installations. They'll each focus on issues such as cost justification, lessons learned during the implementation, and advice to other companies considering robotic systems.
Each of these speakers represent finalists for the prestigious Robots & Vision User Recognition Award, presented at every International Robots & Vision Show to a company that has successfully applied robots and/or machine vision systems. The winning company will be announced at a special luncheon on Tuesday, June 5. Mr. Hinkle speaks during an 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. session on June 5, while Mr. Kashanipour and Mr. Watson speak during a 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. session that day.
"We know that each of these speakers, along with the others participating in the Robots & Vision Conference this year, will have great insights to share with current and potential users of robots and machine vision systems," said Donald A. Vincent, Executive Vice President, Robotic Industries Association (RIA), one of the trade groups sponsoring the event.
"Listening to companies that have successfully appled robots and vision can be especially valuable to top managers at small and medium sized companies that are considering implementing these technologies. That's why our case studies focus on strategic and financial issues that top management can use to evaluate the potential benefits at their companies," Vincent explained
Held just once every two years, the International Robots & Vision Show and Conference is North America's leading showcase of these technologies. Some 175 companies will demonstrate the latest robotics and machine vision products and services at the show, while the in-depth Conference features practical, application-oriented talks from some 60 speakers
The International Robots & Vision Show and Conference is sponsored by RIA and the Automated Imaging Association (AIA). Together, these trade associations represent some 500 companies, including leading manufacturers, system integrators, component suppliers, end users, consulting firms and research groups.
