JAI A/S Acquires PULNiX America, Inc.

Copenhagen May 1st, 2003 - JAI A/S announced today that it completed the transaction to acquire PULNiX America Inc. located in Sunnyvale CA for an undisclosed amount.

The purchase includes intellectual property, technology, assets, product lines and employees. The purchase also includes the activities of the regional sales and support offices in Japan.

The acquisition will exploit the strong synergies with JAI’s and PULNiX’s existing high performance camera solutions as well as to the ITS activities of JAI Systems division. It will extend and strengthen the traditional position of JAI in North America and of PULNiX internationally. The synergies in technology by the united R&D forces promise to further strengthen our future competitive position.

PULNiX America will remain in Sunnyvale and is co-operating to create a smooth transition for partners and customers. The PULNIX brand as well as the JAI brand will continue onwards in parallel. Business will continue positively and as usual in all markets.
