National Instruments works toward the long-term success of its employees and society through four focus areas of corporate responsibility: Empowering engineers and scientists, inspiring and preparing the innovators of tomorrow, fostering an open and innovative work environment for all employees, and minimizing the company’s environmental impact. We report our progress in these four areas each year publically through our annual corporate responsibility report, which was recently released.

2012 highlights include:

  • $1.7 million USD in financial and product donations distributed to students, educators, and nonprofits to help inspire the next generation to pursue careers in engineering and science
  • 40% reduction in packaging materials used for a large-volume hardware product line
  • 8 NI offices recognized by the Great Place to Work Institute
  • 230 small and medium enterprises (SMEs) worldwide were supported through the Planet NI program

Learn more about the goals and progress of the NI corporate responsibility program through a letter from NI President, CEO, and Cofounder, Dr. James Truchard.
