Harvey Pollicove of the Center for Optics Manufacturing appointed to Edmund Optics’ Board of Directors

October 28, 2003, Barrington, NJ - Edmund Optics, Inc. (EO) of Barrington, New Jersey has announced the addition of Harvey Pollicove to its Board of Directors.

Mr. Pollicove currently serves as founding director of University of Rochester’s Center for Optics Manufacturing (COM). Prior to starting the center, he served as Technical Markets Manager for Eastman Kodak’s Optical Products Division. Mr. Pollicove has played a critical role in the development of modern optics manufacturing technology. Widely recognized in the optics field, he has overseen the development of COM that has resulted in several prestigious awards including two Department of Defense Manufacturing Technology Achievement awards and the 2001 R&D 100 award for that year’s technologically significant products.

In other action, Edmund Optics’ Board Nominating Committee has re-elected the remaining members of Edmund Optics’ current Board of Directors for another two-year term. Current board members include: Thomas A. Celucci, CEO of Zyvex; Norman W. Edmund, Founder of Edmund Scientific Co.; Robert Edmund, CEO of Edmund Optics Inc.; Joan Husted, Secretary to the Board of Directors at Edmund Optics Inc.; Carol Langer, Consultant for SolidWorks Corp.; and Francis Manganaro, Chairman and CEO of Nova Biomedical.
