Edmund Optics® Increases Focus on Taiwan

Singapore - Edmund Optics® (EO), the premier provider of optical components, continues its expansion across Asia with the opening of an office in Taichung City and appointment of Mr. Johnson Chang to lead its Taiwan Sales operations.

integration systems and imaging lenses adds tremendous strength to our Asian team."In his role as Sales Manager, Johnson Chang will spearhead further development of EO's Taiwan presence. When asked about his new role Johnson replied, 'I am delighted to be working with EO and really looking forward to strengthening alliances with their existing customers as well as enabling them to nurture and develop many new relationships in Taiwan.'
Chang joins EO after having worked in precision optics for over 12 years at one of Taiwan's most established lens manufacturing businesses. Chang's exceptional technical knowledge is underpinned by hands-on manufacturing and optical processes engineering experience, both fields in which he excelled in a supervisory capacity. This practical know-how enables Chang to interface with clients on their individual product development needs and work directly with their R&D teams from initial product feasibility studies, to eventual production and final integration.
"We truly believe that Chang's expertise combined with EOs extensive design to prototype to volume production capabilities now enables us to offer unrivaled solutions to the vision industry in Taiwan," concluded Vincent Thong.
In preparation and support of their Taiwan office EO recently launched a new website www.edmundoptics.com.tw, and produced a tailored edition of its catalogue containing over 22700 off-the-shelf optical components especially for the Taiwan market. EO also plans to hold a series of 'Vision Seminars' in Taipei in the summer of 2011.
