DVT Selects New Director of European Business Development

POSTED 10/04/2001

October 4, 2001--DVT Corporation (Norcross, GA), the leading supplier of machine vision sensors for automated inspection, today announced that Mr. Philippe Berger has been selected as Director of European Business Development.  Mr. Berger joins DVT's expanding team from his previous position as General Manager of RVSI-France (Robotic Vision Systems, Incorporated).

A 15-year veteran of the industrial machine vision/automation industry, Mr. Berger will now be responsible for the development and implementation of DVT's product marketing, market development, and sales programs for the Western European region.

Robert Steinke, CEO of DVT Corporation said, "We are delighted to have Philippe join our growing team of professionals in Europe. He brings a wealth of industry knowledge and experience to DVT. His appointment will allow us to further strengthen our position as the leader in vision sensor technology in Europe and globally."

Headquartered in Norcross, GA, with facilities in Europe, Asia and Latin America, DVT Corporation ignited the machine vision revolution in the early 1990s with SmartImage Sensors and has continued to upgrade, enhance and integrate the technology into the most cost-effective vision systems in the industry.  Starting at $2995, all SmartImage Sensors are Ethernet ready.  Whether implemented as a simple, direct connection between the SmartImage Sensor and a computer, or as a connection that crosses the globe via the Internet, DVT exploits the Ethernet's architecture to bring real-time, automated inspections to any aspect of a company's enterprise.
