New Machine Vision Sensor Features Ethernet, Enhanced Performance
Multiple Lighting Control and Smallest Size Ever-All At The Lowest Price-only $3995
Atlanta, Georgia - (June 1, 2001) DVT Corporation, the leading supplier of machine vision sensors for automated inspection, today announced the availability of the "Legend 530". The Legend 530 includes FrameWork 2.3, a major new version of DVT's flagship software. The Legend 530 series is the smallest, Ethernet-ready vision sensor on the market, features increased performance and new tools to control multiple strobes.
The new DVT Legend 530 series can measure, count, find features, compare likenesses, communicate to robot controllers, PC-based control systems and many other automation devices. Ethernet connectivity means easy and accurate reporting of information to your entire enterprise. The Legend 530 reads most 1-D and 2-D barcodes, as well as virtually any printed characters using a trainable OCR algorithm. An addition to the DVT's family of SmartImage Sensors, the Legend 530 performs a vast array of duties from inspection to robotic vision.
Ultra compact-12% smaller than its predecessor model-the Legend 530 can be easily integrated into manufacturing lines with the tightest space restrictions. Performance is greatly enhanced with a digitizing time of 75 full frames per second-a 200% increase. In addition, for the challenging inspections, where multiple lights are needed to illuminate different aspects of a part, the Legend 530 allows for separate control of up to 4 strobes.
Priced at only $3995, the Legend 530 is the undisputed leader in affordable machine vision. The first of a new series, the Model 530 is available exclusively through DVT's global network of Automation Solution Providers.
Headquartered in Norcross, GA, with facilities in Switzerland, Singapore and Japan, DVT Corporation ignited the machine vision revolution in the early 1990s with SmartImage Sensors and has continued to upgrade, enhance and integrate the technology into the most cost-effective vision systems in the industry. Starting at $2995, all SmartImage Sensors are Ethernet ready. Whether implemented as a simple, direct connection between the SmartImage Sensor and a computer, or as a connection that crosses the globe via the Internet, DVT exploits the Ethernet's architecture to bring real-time, automated inspections to any aspect of a company's enterprise.
