POSTED 12/05/2001
NORCROSS, Ga., Dec. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- DVT Corporation, a maker of machine vision systems used in factory automation, today announced a record 40 percent growth in revenues compared to November of last year. This marks the single largest monthly revenue since the company was founded in 1991; and the second consecutive month of record bookings.
Highlights of the month include 3 new hardware releases, further enhancing DVT's capabilities to deliver automated quality control inspections for global manufacturers. DVT also delivered an enhanced version of FrameWork -- the machine vision industry's leading software package -- with new color algorithms, user customization and remote diagnostic capabilities. DVT also received further validation of its market leadership through numerous industry awards and accolades including being named 'Best Machine Vision Supplier' by Control Design Magazine's readers. DVT continued to grow its global presence with the opening of new offices in Korea and France, meeting significant customer demands for DVT SmartImage Sensor products. DVT also announced the opening of a dedicated training facility at new U.K. headquarters in London, extending DVT's free training program to plant floor engineers in that country.
'It has been a great year for DVT,' said Bob Steinke, DVT Corporation chairman and chief executive officer. 'Our financial results reflect the accelerating strength and momentum of our business, and are a testament to the product and business model we have been putting in place for several years.'
Headquartered in Norcross, GA, with facilities in Europe, Asia and Latin America, DVT Corporation ignited the machine vision revolution in the early 1990s with SmartImage Sensors. Starting at $2995, all SmartImage Sensors are Ethernet ready. Whether implemented as a simple, direct connection between the SmartImage Sensor and a computer, or as a connection that crosses the globe via the Internet, DVT exploits the Ethernet's architecture to bring real-time, automated inspections to any aspect of a company's enterprise.
