Cognex to Host Free Machine Vision Seminars

Natick, MA, July 22, 2002-Cognex Corporation (NASDAQ - CGNX), the world's leading supplier of machine vision systems, today announced that the company will host a series of free half-day seminars. These seminars show how vision sensor technology can be used to solve automated inspection tasks in the automotive, medical, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, consumer products, and electronics industries.
Designed primarily for automation engineers, the free seminars cover the fundamentals of machine vision technology, and feature live demonstrations of Cognex In-Sight™ vision sensors performing a variety of tasks including:
- Measuring part dimensions
- Verifying the correct assembly of components
- Locating randomly oriented parts
- Identifying 2D codes on parts
The seminars also demonstrate how built-in Ethernet communications enable vision sensors to be linked across the factory, managed from remote locations, and monitored by any level of the enterprise.
