POSTED 05/11/2004
May 11, 2004 - Boston, MA - Last week BitFlow (Woburn, MA - www.bitflow.com) exhibited at the AIA Vision Show and demonstrated several hardware and software capabilities:
IMAGE ANALYSIS DEMO - BitFlow's ImageWarp (www.imagewarp.com) image analysis software demonstrated blob analysis and measurement on live RGB images using one program while another ImageWarp program acquired and processed live images from a 1394 camera. This demonstration clearly showed the flexibility and performance of ImageWarp along side our new hardware-based Bayer solution.
COMPONENTS
- BitFlow's NEW R64-PCI-CL-IP2 Camera Link Frame Grabber with onboard Bayer processing capability. This product supports a single Base or Medium Camera Link camera and allows the user's application to receive interpolated color video data at the camera's specified frame rate.
- Uniq Vision's (San Jose, CA - www.uniqvision.com) UC-2000CL and Dalsa's (Waterloo, Ontario - www.dalsa.com) 2M30-SA Bayer cameras were demonstrated using the new IP2 product.
- PixeLink's (Ottawa, Ontario - www.pixelink.com) PL-A741 1394 camera.
REAL-TIME TRACKING DEMO - Real-time software tracking from a remote 120fps Camera Link camera connected to the frame grabber via a Camera Link to Fiber extension product. ImageWarp's real-time tracking script was designed to track differences from a known background image and could easily be easily be adapted to an actual security monitoring environment. A second application demonstrated a new ActiveX control for BitFlow's complete line of frame grabber products.
COMPONENTS
- BitFlow's R64-PCI-CL Camera Link Frame Grabber supporting Base, Medium, Full or Dual Base Camera Link camera configurations.
- JAI Pulnix's (Sunnyvale, CA - www.jaipulnix.com) TM-6710CL.
- Logical Solution's (Milford, CT - www.thinklogical.com) Camera Fiber-Link product.
- A&B Software's (New London, CT - www.ab-soft.com) ActiveBF. A&B Software also specializes in custom ImageWarp solutions.
COLOR LINE SCAN DEMO - Acquiring from a high performance color line scan camera, ImageWarp is used to enhance color images and extract features from currency in real-time. ImageWarp's BitFlow frame grabber driver allows for seamless acquisition and processing of data at today's camera speeds.
COMPONENTS
- BitFlow's R3-PCI-CL Camera Link Frame Grabber supporting Base Camera Link camera configurations.
- TVI Vision's (Helsinki, Finland - www.tvivision.com) XIIMUS.
COMPUTERS - 2U and 4U computer systems were provided by MicroDISC (Yardley, PA - www.microdisc.com - 215.321.9100). MicroDISC is an Authorized BitFlow Value Added Reseller and specializes in high-performance computers and imaging components.
IN-SHOW INTERFACE - During the show BitFlow interfaced to the NEW JAI Pulnix (Sunnyvale, CA - www.jaipulnix.com) CV-M9CL 3CCD RGB Camera Link camera using our R64-PCI-CL and the TMC-4000CL using our R64-PCI-CL-IP2 frame grabber.
