Basler Vision Components Launches an Online Presence in French

Ahrensburg, 23 November 2006 – At the beginning of this month, Basler Vision Components launched French language web pages at www.basler-vc.com. Access to extensive information regarding digital cameras and components for industrial applications is now even easier for French speaking customers.
The range of languages offered on our website reflects our service orientation. In addition to French, the entire site is also available in German and in English. And the growing number of Chinese language pages on the website acknowledges the increasing need for information across the company’s wide range of customers and partners. The content at the Basler-VC website includes many useful functions. With the help of the ‘‘camera selector’‘, for example, customers can select relevant criteria such as interface, resolution, or speed and can view a graphic display of suitable cameras. Another service called ‘‘camera comparison’‘ lets visitors select and compare up to four camera models. The relevant specifications are shown in table form, making the differences between the selected models visible at a glance.
The French language web pages will facilitate access to our customers in France and they are a logical expansion of our commitment to this important market. Since January 2006, Sébastien Désessard has been supporting activities in France from the Basler sales office. Sébastien works alongside BFI Optilas, our longstanding French distributor. In France, where Basler Vision Components has an estimated 14.8% market share, the company is addressing one of the most important European markets for image processing products.
