AIA Releases Updated 2013 Global Machine Vision Camera Study
POSTED 08/22/2013
AIA announced today the release of a new and updated version of its Global Machine Vision Camera Study. The seven chapter study builds upon the success of its predecessor and contains updated market data through 2013. Also included in the study are a detailed market description, a retail pricing analysis, a sales analysis, and a trend analysis.
The updated study is designed to answer a host of important questions about the machine vision camera market, including:
- How is the market changing?
- What are the sweet spots in the market?
- What factors determine retail pricing?
- What geographic regions are contributing the most sales?
- What product features are the most popular?
- How do different types of cameras compare in terms of their pricing, demand, market penetration and rates of growth?
- Where is the market heading?
“This is an exciting, dynamic market that continues to grow,” said Alex Shikany, AIA’s Director of Market Analysis. “We are excited to provide these updated, current analyses and answer the meaningful questions that machine vision companies have.”
The study focuses on cameras because of their central role in machine vision systems. Due to this centrality, the study can also provide insights into components that are tied to cameras such as optics, lighting, and imaging boards. The study’s intended audience includes camera manufacturers and suppliers, manufacturers and distributors of other machine vision components, system integrators and the financial investment community.
