AIA Business Conference Set for February 7-9, 2001

Ann Arbor, Michigan - The Automated Imaging Association (AIA) will hold its 9th annual AIA Business Conference at the Orlando World Center Marriott in Orlando, FL, February 7-9, 2001.

The Conference, which annually attracts some 185 machine vision industry executives, focuses on key issues that impact companies involved in machine vision.

"The Business Conference is the ideal setting for learning about important business issues as well as making new business relationships," said Jeffrey A. Burnstein, Executive Director of AIA.  "The event has gained the reputation as the place where business leaders do business."

Burnstein said that key issues to be discussed in 2001 include an advance look at 2000 machine vision industry market results and forecasts; an update on the Lemelson machine vision patents; Wall Street's view of the machine vision industry; and successful mergers and acquisitions.

One new topic added to the agenda focuses on powerful presentation techniques for industry executives.  "In addition to covering issues that benefit their companies, we also like to cover issues that help executives with their own careers," Burnstein explained.  "The tips on how to give better presentations will help everyone who attends, whether they are suppliers, users, researchers, or financial analysts."

Founded in 1984, AIA is the only trade group in North America organized specifically to promote the use of machine vision.  The association has more than 230 member companies and is best-known for events such as The Vision Show West (October 3-5, 2000 in San Jose, CA), the annual Machine Vision Market Study , and its online magazine, Machine Vision Online .
