A 2007 iF Product Design Award Goes to the Basler scout and pioneer Camera Series
Ahrensburg, 14 March 2007 – Basler’s scout and pioneer camera series have won a 2007 iF Product Design Award in the ‘‘Industry / Buildings’‘ category. The housing design for the two camera series was developed by Basler-VC engineers working in close collaboration with Bachorski Design. Specializing in industrial design, this agency supported Basler during the entire product development cycle and was instrumental in creating an esthetically pleasing yet functional design that could meet the requirements of Basler’s customers.
The cameras bested the field not just in terms of their design quality, workmanship, and choice of materials, but also in their high level of innovation, environmental friendliness, functionality, ergonomics, brand value, and design universality. These were just some of the benchmark criteria used by the jury of international experts in their evaluations.
Now in their 53rd year, the iF Design competitions are among the world’s oldest and most prestigious. The exhibition accompanying the design awards is on view until August at the Hanover Trade Fair Exhibition Center. The awards ceremony, traditionally held on the first day of CeBIT, is on 15 March 2007 in Pavilion 11 D, Hall 11.
