N470 Miniature Opto-Mechanical Actuator with Position Sensor based on Piezo Ratchet Drive
PI's N-470 and N-472 closed-loop miniature optomechanical actuators are based on a screw and ratchet mechanism, with a small piezo ceramic actuator block. These actuators provide nanometer resolution, with excellent position stability. The PIshift piezo motor locks the screw when at rest or powered down, with no current draw and heat generation.
