Linear Motor Gantry and Optical Sensor for 3D Surface Profiling

Watch the application of a compact linear motor gantry (based on V-855 linear motor modules) and an optical laser sensor to provide fast 3D surface profiling with micrometer accuracy. A fast Z-focusing stage adjusts the height with high dynamics to keep everything in focus. The complete system is controlled with EtherCat-based ACS controllers. EtherCat simplifies the integration of 3rd party equipment such as sensors, cameras, dispensers, etc.
