ANSI/A3 R15.08-1-2020 (R2026) - Industrial Mobile Robots (IMRs), is a reaffirmation of Part 1 of R15.08. Reaffirmation means that Part 1 has been re-approved with no technical changes from the original publication in 2020. Part 1 states safety requirements for industrial mobile robots (IMRs); that is, for the individual IMR. This will enable robotics manufacturers to design and produce industrial mobile robots that operate with acceptable risk.

ANSI/A3 R15.08-2-2023 - IMR Systems and IMR Applications, remains in edition 1, published originally in 2023. Part 2 states safety requirements for the integration of IMR systems and IMR applications. This will enable robotics system integrators to design, produce, and deploy a system of IMRs that will operate with acceptable risk.

Part 3 of ANSI/A3 R15.08-2026 - Use of IMR Applications, is an all-new publication. Part 3 was developed in the United States with input from corresponding standards development experts in Canada. Part 3 states safety requirements for the continued safe use of the industrial mobile robots (IMRs) and IMR applications in day-to-day operations. This will enable robotics users to maintain acceptable risk in the workplace associated with the operation of industrial mobile robot (IMR) applications.
