Robotic Sanding and Milling Automation Using Abrasives and Hard Tooling - PushCorp
In this video we processed a steel enclosure using a high speed servo motor and a force compliance device. The first step of this process was to utilize an expandable wheel and a 3M coated abrasive to remove the weld. Then, instead of simply breaking the edge, this customer required a precise 2mm radius. To achieve this we used hard tooling from Beveltools. We programmed the bearing to ride along the parent material leveraging the constant force and contact of the force compliance device.
