Automated Fiberglass Spool Handling with KUKA Robots

This system eliminated operator product lifting through the use of industrial high-payload KUKA robots and provided for the automated transfer, wrapping, labeling, sorting and palletizing of the fiberglass spools. The fiberglass product can have high variance in spool diameter and strand management that has to be accommodated for in the tooling design.
