As 2020 entered the new year like a lion with a 2.5% Bot Index expansion, the shortened Christmas season week was like a lamb with a 2 basis points slide. Nevertheless, even that small percentage loss bested the S & P 500 who experienced a 17-basis point rupture. The number of gainers in the 30-stock index exactly equaled the number of losers. It was a variety of gainers that exceeded 3% that proved the catalyst for the overperformance of the bots over the broader averages.
