Bots in the News:
In the holiday abbreviated trading session, the equity markets continued their upward momentum. Projections of a strong Black Friday and Christmas gift buying season led investors to anticipate a boost to GDP in the fourth quarter. While the Bot Index was virtually flat due to a bit of weakness in the Japanese holdings, the broader market gained 1%.
There were only two stocks that noted excessive weakness – NIO Inc. and 3D Systems. NIO fell 7.63% as fears of tariffs and possible delisting befell this Chinese EV manufacturer. 3D Systems declined 6.60% following disappointing earnings and revenues and a comment by management that there is fundamental weakness in system sales.
