Bots in The News:

The first week of October was saved by a strong showing in Friday’s trading. The broad market ended the week with a 48-basis point increase while the Bot Index fell 73 basis points.

The only double-digit mover within the Bot Index was the decline recorded by 3D Systems. The company’s stock fell 13.85%, continuing its decline throughout all of 2023. Over one third of the analysts that follow the company have either sell or underperform recommendations on the shares.

Oceaneering International followed the decline in oil prices last week as it posted the second worst return for the week. The stock fell almost 9%.

Faro Corp declined 6.11% thanks to a Simply Wall Street article entitled, “The past three years for FARO Technologies (NASDAQ:FARO) investors has not been profitable.”

Two of the  low-priced issues within the Index each produced positive returns for their shareholders in last week’s trading. Accuray Inc. gained 9.9% and Immersion Corp. rose 3.62%. Accuray announced that the CNNC-Accuray joint venture Tomo C radiation therapy system got approval from the Chinese National Medical Products Administration. This report caused the stock to bounce significantly on Wednesday.
