“Robotics on the Move” at York County Business & Robotics Fair

YORK, PA. – April 29, 2009 – ABB Robotics in partnership with JLS Automation and the William F. Goodling Regional Advanced Skills Center will host the ABB Robotics “Robotics on the Move: Partnership in Productivity Tour” as part of the York County Business and Robotics Fair, May 13-15, 2009.  

The educational exhibit will encompass both live demonstrations and interactive activities specifically focusing on the ways in which robots will continue to be a major factor in the growth of the United States’ economy, influence education and create business efficiencies.  

The free event is open to the public from 9:00am – 4:30pm, May 13-14 and 9:00am to 12:00pm on May 15 at the William F. Goodling Regional Advanced Skills Center.  In conjunction with the fair, a new ABB Flex Arc Welding Cell will be unveiled by Pennsylvania Secretary of Labor & Industry, Sandi Vito during a ribbon-cutting ceremony on May 14 at 2:00pm.  

The addition of the ABB Flex Arc Welding Cell is a first step in the development of the Technology Center infrastructure and a Robotics Center of Excellence in York County.
