Road Show Highlights Versatility of FESTO

POSTED 10/06/2009

FESTO is out to make believers of their products, and they are using a traveling road show to do it. An RIA member, they make virtually every electromechanical, mechatronic, fluid power, positioner and controller device needed by modern manufacturers (machine vision, too).

FESTO Road Show packed with robot and automation parts.Global reach and local support allows them to offer the same parts with the same catalog numbers in the language that is needed. “With 56 national headquarters serving more than 180 countries,” they are known to have facilities in every country where GM, Ford and Chrysler make cars.

Just as FESTO has a wide variety of parts, they also serve a wide variety of industries, from automotive and aerospace to process industries like wastewater treatment and much more (packaging, medical . . . you name it). Their Road Show came through Michigan recently and in one case demonstrates the versatility of their large product range with a parallel robot built entirely of FESTO products. Robotic Industries Association staff filmed the Delta-type robot during a stop in Auburn Hills – see it on RIA’s blog site: Robots in America.
