QComp Technologies, Inc. Announces New Automated Space Saving Packaging Cell

GREENVILLE, Wisconsin - QComp Technologies, Inc., a leading robotics integrator, today announced its new Solo Packer Cell for packaging individual products. The space saving pre-engineered system was designed to provide manufacturers with a highly reliable turnkey solution to reduce production costs and increase the customer’s bottom line. The Solo Packer Cell is a modular and portable unit with the flexibility to allow for constant product changes or fast deployment of new product packaging. “Our customers are consistently demanding innovative quality solutions to save valuable floor space, speed production and reduce costs while accommodating for the constant packaging changeover that is so prevalent in manufacturing today,” said Tom Doyle, president of QComp Technologies, Inc. “With the Solo Packer Cell our customers have a system that can pack at a rate of up to 30 layer picks per minute with push button changeover capability.”
The Qcomp Solo Packer Cell meets the most stringent RIA and ANSI standards and is an extremely economical way to automate manual packing. The stand alone control system makes product changes effortless and the units’ size and portability gives manufacturers production flexibility while saving valuable factory floor space. The unit is pre-engineered allowing for an easy install and start up. The Solo Packer Cell can pack up to 30 layer picks per minute and can pick up to 45 lbs per pick. The unit features a 4 or 6 axis robot, integrated feed conveyors, Rockwell Micrologix PLC and a Panelview Plus 600 HMI interface. The system is also available in a wash down compatible version.
