Plastic Cable Carriers Help Entertain

KA, the gravity-defying production from the creators of Cirque de Soleil, uses Energy Chain cable carriers from igus on its stages. The show, considered the most technical in Las Vegas, uses massive amounts of cables and hoses to provide power to such elements as lights, projectors and one of the most complicated networked computer-control systems in the industry. igus’ all-plastic Energy Chains house and protect the cables and wires on each of the production’s five stages.

System E4/100 and System E4 ‘Light’ Energy Chains are specifically designed to handle high loads, accelerations and speeds, making them an ideal choice for the KA show. Due to their unique side-link and stop-dog design, these carriers also reduce noise by 50 percent.

Systems E4/100 and E4 Light are maintenance free, dirt repellant and available in a wide range of styles and widths. For environments with harsh elements such as hot chips or chemicals, System E4 is available in an enclosed tube design to shield cables from damage. These carriers are also equipped with snap-open crossbars for easy cable installation.
