Nominees Sought for RIA Board of Directors
RIA is seeking nominees for new two-year terms (2019-2020) on its Board of Directors. The RIA membership will elect candidates from the Robot and Component Supplier, System Integrator, Educator/Researcher, and User member categories. Board members are expected to attend up to four Board meetings each year while providing guidance and support of the organization throughout the term. “The success of RIA is directly attributable to the outstanding strategic guidance from the RIA Board,” said Jeff Burnstein, President of RIA. “Our Directors have always operated in a ‘leave your logo’ at the door spirit of collaboration in order to makes sure that RIA develops programs that serve the broad interests of the robotics and automation community. It’s an exciting time for the robotics industry and RIA is currently at a record number for membership; a strong indicator that our programs are being well received by the industry at large.”
Please nominate worthy candidates by November 21, 2018 using the official nomination form. The newly-elected Directors will take office following the A3 Business Forum in Orlando, January 14-16, 2019.
Up to two candidates per open seat will be listed on the Board ballot. Should there be more nominees than available spots on the ballot, the RIA Board Executive Committee will determine which candidates will be on the final ballot based on the company’s prior involvement with the association.
