mk North America to Launch New Conveyor: SPU 2040 at Automate 2017

Bloomfield, CT – mk North America is pleased to announce the unveiling of a new product, SPU 2040, at Automate 2017, which is being held at McCormick Place in Chicago on April 3-6 2017.

The SPU 2040 is a continuous motion pallet conveyor. This accumulating pallet recirculation system offers feeding, buffering, positioning and separating of workpieces in the smallest possible space. The robustness and the variety of the various conveyor models allow it to be used in practically all areas of automation and material flow.

The SPU 2040 replaces traditional over-under conveyor systems which require the use of vertical transfer units, several motors and costly controls. The SPU 2040 conveyor is powered by a single motor and allows for empty pallets to be returned on the underside of the conveyor. This space-saving design cuts initial start-up costs as well as associated energy costs during the machine’s life-cycle.

The SPU offers many of the same features as traditional pallet conveyor systems including accumulation, pallet stops and queues, as well as lift and locate devices. Built and tested in our Bloomfield, CT facility, the SPU 2040 conveyor system can be delivered with or without an integrated controls package.
