EPSON Robots Expands Low Cost SCARA Robots Lineup

POSTED 05/30/2012

EPSON LS-Series SCARA Robots – Fast, Compact and Low Cost

Carson, CA – EPSON Robots, a global leader in SCARA robot technology, introduces the new LS6 SCARA robots to the LS-Series SCARA lineup. EPSON LS-Series are available in arm lengths of 400mm (LS3) and now 600mm (LS6). This new robot series is the low cost and high performance leader for SCARA robots.

“Due to the increased demand for LS3 SCARA robots we have further expanded our low cost SCARA series by launching the new LS6 SCARA robots” stated Michael Ferrara, Director of EPSON Robots. “Our low cost LS-Series SCARAs open up new realms of opportunities for manufacturers searching for a reduced cost automation solution by offering high performance and great reliability our users have come to expect from EPSON but, at a lower cost. LS-Series robots were created as the reduced cost solution for factories looking for maximum value without giving up performance.”

With high precision and outstanding flexibility, EPSON LS-Series robots were made for customers that require EPSON quality at a reduced price. Manufacturers who would normally explore the option of low cost Cartesian type linear axes robots are now able to consider the use of LS-Series SCARA robots as an affordable and high performance solution. Our goal was to build a robust robot at a lower price capable of meeting EPSON’s high performance standards. The new LS-Series robots do that and more.

LS-Series SCARA robots provide fast cycle times, compact footprints, and industry leading ease of use with the RC90 controller and EPSON RC+ development software. These new robots are able to meet the demanding space requirements in factories today by providing a small footprint solution with superior workspace usage. EPSON LS-Series SCARA Robots are ideally suited for applications that require demanding cycle times, high precision and high reliability all at a low price.

LS-Series SCARA robots come standard with our new low cost, high performance RC90 Controller which provides the ultimate experience in ease of use and reliability at an incredibly low price. In addition to all of these great features, the RC90 controller also provides our industry leading EPSON RC+ Controls software and lots of fully integrated options such as Vision Guidance, GUI Builder, .NET support, DeviceNet, Profibus, LabView programmability and much more. Why choose a low performance solution when you can have a high performance EPSON LS-Series robot at an exceptional price?

EPSON Robots is the global leader in PC controlled precision factory automation, with an installed base of over 25,000 robots and a product line of hundreds of models of easy to use SCARA, Cartesian and 6 axis robots based on a common PC based platform. Building on a 27 year heritage, EPSON Robots today delivers robots for precision assembly and material handling applications in the aerospace, appliance, automotive, biotechnology, consumer product, electronics, food processing, medical device, pharmaceutical, plastics, semiconductor, and telecommunication industries.
