DENSO to Demonstrate Control of Robots by Rockwell Automation PLCs and PACs at Automation Fair® 2013
POSTED 11/08/2013
LONG BEACH, Calif. — DENSO Robotics, an Encompass™ Product Partner in the Rockwell Automation PartnerNetwork™, announced that it will be demonstrating how DENSO robots can be programmed and controlled directly from a Rockwell Automation PLC or PAC at Automation Fair®, November 13–14, 2013, in the George R. Brown Convention Center, in Houston Texas, Booth #213.
DENSO's Add-On Instructions (AOIs) for its RC7 robot controller allow any DENSO robot to be directly operated from a Rockwell Automation CompactLogix™ PLC or ControlLogix® PAC, via EtherNet/IP. The AOIs enable even new robotics users to easily install, program, operate and support robot applications using the familiar Rockwell Automation RSLogix™ interface. "Our robots are well known in the industry for being easy to operate," said Peter Cavallo, robotics sales manager, DENSO Sales California. "Now Rockwell Automation customers have an even easier alternative."
DENSO's live demonstrations at Automation Fair will include a new VS-Series six-axis articulated robot — the world's fastest in its class — using vision guidance to pick randomly arranged parts and place them accurately into tray nests. Another automation cell will feature an HS-Series four-axis SCARA robot picking candy products from a conveyor and placing them into a dispensing chute.
