ATI Industrial Automation has announced the date for its 6th Annual Technology Training Fair at its Detroit Michigan office on Thursday, August 16th. Learn about all of the latest robotic end-effector products that have been developed by ATI over the last year. Other topics will include existing, cost-effective, state-of-the-art ATI products and solutions that can increase the productivity of your robots and surpass your automation needs. ATI's Account Managers and Engineers will be on-hand to discuss your application and end-effector requirements. Several live demonstrations of ATI's Robotic Tool Changers, Multi-Axis Force Torque Sensors, Utility Couplers, Robotic Collision Sensors, and Robotic Deburring Tools will run throughout the day, including robotic demonstrations from FANUC and Yaskawa Motoman. Food and refreshments will be available and lunch will be provided.

The hours for the event are 8:00am until 3:00pm, topics include:

Force Control Applications 8:30am - 9:30am – Force Control applications focusing on force control machining and assembly and how customers have benefited from the use of Multi-Axis Force/Torque Sensors. The session will include a brief review of new Force/Torque Sensor products. Presentations by ABB, Battenberg, and KUKA.

New Product Developments 9:45am - 10:45am – A look at the latest ATI products with specific examples of Tool Changers for nutrunner and self-piercing rivet applications. Presentations by Atlas Copco and Henrob.

Specialized Tool Changer Applications 11:00am - 12:00pm – Unique applications including the smallest and largest Tool Changers available, part transfer utilizing Tool Changers, and an overview of specialized Tool Changer products. Presentations by FANUC and HMS.

Vision and Bus Networks for Tool Changers 1:00pm - 2:00pm – Vision, Cameras, and Bus Network related applications with an overview of current bus network types, their advantages and disadvantages and ATI Tool Changer products that support these network standards.

At this time the exact time slots for the topics are still subject to change. Check this page for updates.

AMT/Adaptive Tour
During the event and only a few blocks away at 219 Kay Industrial Drive, live robotic demonstrations featuring ATI products can be viewed at AMT and Adaptive Systems. AMT is North America’s largest automation engineering company for supporting robot companies, systems integrators, line builders, and users of robotic automation worldwide. Located within the same facility as AMT, Adaptive Systems is a Turnkey Systems Integrator that specializes in the design and build of custom automation, commonly involving technically-challenging robotic applications with 2D and/or 3D vision. Transportation will be provided between locations. Attendees are also welcome to visit AMT/Adaptive Systems on their own. For more information on AMT, visit their website at www.appliedmfg.com.
