RIA Announces Two Major Robotic Programs for Fall 2007
ANN ARBOR, Michigan, June 11, 2007 – The Robotic Industries Association (RIA) will return to Minneapolis, Minnesota, September 17-18, 2007 for its highly acclaimed Robotic Grinding, Deburring & Finishing Workshop . Last held in the Twin Cities area in 2005, attendees will be able to meet an elite group of experts and specialists that know how to solve their surface finishing problems. All the latest robotic grinding, deburring and finishing technology will be revealed, including a day at 3M’s robot labs. No other program offers so much rich and practical content and information on robotic material removal and surface finishing. Tabletop exhibits will accompany the workshop with top companies displaying their latest product innovations.
The RIA also continues a nineteen-year tradition of safety training as the National Robot Safety Conference XIX , makes its first-ever stop in Indianapolis, Indiana. The Conference will be held October 1-4, 2007, at the Indianapolis Marriott Center East. Attendees will receive comprehensive training for their automation safety concerns. Pre- and post-conference workshops accompany the main Conference, which features two full days of presentations on robot safety, standards, successful robot applications, the latest developments, and information important to everyone associated with industrial safety. New Conference sessions include ‘‘Why A Behavioral Approach to Safety?’‘ and ‘‘The New International Standard for Robot Construction.’‘ A Tabletop trade fair and networking opportunity will also be included, adding to the event’s value and excitement.
