Applications Now Being Accepted for the 2013 Joseph F. Engelberger Robotics Awards

As the world's most prestigious honor in the field of robotics, the Joseph F. Engelberger awards are presented to individuals for excellence in robotics technology development, application, education, and leadership.
The awards, named after the worldwide “father of robotics” Joseph F. Engelberger, are sponsored annually by the Robotic Industries Association (RIA), the industry’s trade group. These distinguished awards will be presented in conjunction with the International Symposium on Robotics, October 24-26, 2013 in Seoul, Korea. To date, over 116 robotics leaders from 17 nations have been recognized.
The 2013 awards will be based on the categories of Leadership and Application. Each winner receives a $5,000 honorarium and a commemorative medallion with the inscription "Contributing to the advancement of the science of robotics in the service of mankind."
