ABB to Feature Two YuMi Dual-arm, Collaborative Robot Demos at THE 2016 Vision Show, May 3rd - 5th in Boston
The vision compatible YuMi is specifically designed to meet the flexible and agile production needs of small parts assembly and handling applications.
AUBURN HILLS, Mich.
– ABB Robotics will feature two YuMi® collaborative robot demos at the 2016 Vision Show, May 3rd - 5th at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston (Booth #311). Sponsored by the Automated Imaging Association (AIA), the show is North America’s largest display of the machine vision and imaging technology designed to improve operational performance across a wide range of industrial and commercial applications.
Klas Bengtsson, ABB’s global product manager for vision and sensors, will make a presentation on Vision Guided Robotics as part of the Vision Show Conference. Nicolas De Keijser, ABB’s US Assembly & Test business line manager, will make a presentation on Collaborative Robotics during the Collaborative Robotics Workshop that will be held in conjunction with the show.
YuMi, the world’s first truly collaborative dual-arm industrial robot, is specifically designed to meet the flexible and agile production needs of a wide variety of small parts assembly and handling applications. It is compact, can operate in very close collaboration with humans, and is highly compatible with ABB’s Integrated Vision.
