ABB Introduces New Robotic Laser Cutting SolutionsABB has introduced two new softwaretoolsdesigned to make robotic laser cutting moreaccurate, more flexible and easier to use. Using robots for laser cutting offers substantial cost benefits compared to traditional five-axis laser cutting machine, and they occupy less floor space, whilst allowing production layouts to be optimized – thus saving both production space and cost. In many cases robotic laser cutting allows one or more costly manufacturing operation to be eliminated, resulting in mor e efficient production processes.

RobotStudio Cutting PowerPac - A sophisticated offline programming package that plugs into RobotStudio and allows users to generate and modify programmed paths in a 3D simulation environment instead of on the factory floor.

RobotWare Cutting - An advanced controller software that optimizes laser cutting using ABB robots. It includes sophisticated tools for robot tuning and calibration, integration of peripheral equipment and program generation of complex paths and shapes
