Simple Solutions for Multi-carriage Tracks

POSTED 01/12/2015  | By: Brian Huse

Kawasaki Robotics US recently turned to Güdel for a 21-meter-long, three-carriage TrackMotion TMF-4 for material handling in a body shop. Deploying more than one robot on a track poses special challenges for managing cables and carriages, but not for Güdel which has generations of experience solving these issues.

E-chain management is an important consideration for multi-carriage tracks. With its unique, low profile beam design, Güdel TrackMotion TMF modules easily accommodate cable carriers down the middle of the track in addition to both sides. TrackMotion robot 7th axis linear motion, robot transfer unitGüdel stands behind the entire module with components engineered and made in its own factory, and also offers Base-RAP© for cable routing and protection around the robot base and carriage.

TrackMotion TMF is offered in standard modules for all robots. Simple, elegant solutions make Güdel linear motion the technology of choice for complex problems like multiple carriage tracks.
