A teaching project with great impact
POSTED 11/05/2024
Last month, a special project was carried out at Montech. Seven trainees were allowed to design an LTE system for Montech's showroom on their own. They were able to prove their theoretical skills in practice and in addition, learned about many new products and processes.
Montech is a training company. Young adults can complete training courses to become designers, production mechanics, and logistics technicians there. On the one hand, we enable young people to start their careers with these training courses, and on the other hand, we use them to secure the next generation of employees for our own company. Both sides benefit from this and invest in their own future.
Linking theory to practice
The goal of the young people’s training is to combine theoretical knowledge with practical work, whether in design, production, or logistics. That’s exactly what seven trainees from all three areas have been intensively involved in over the last few weeks. They were given responsibility for their own project. For the Montech showroom, it was necessary to build a complete LTE demo system – from concept to planning to assembly.
Demanding requirements
The trainees were actively involved in every step of the project. Together with their teachers, they assumed responsibility and demonstrated their skills in practice. The kick-off meeting started this extraordinary project. The seven trainees discussed the planning and procedure intensively and in detail. Here, it was necessary to take the requirements into account. The LTE system had to be designed in such a way that it is space-saving and uses as many standard components as possible, as well as the MPS aluminum framing system. It is intended not only to demonstrate the performance of this transfer system, but also to illustrate the variety of Montech's products.

Implementation from A to Z
After the planning and concept for the LTE system had been completed, the trainees, among other things, created the CAD data, booked out the individual components from the warehouse, and assembled the LTE system. Finally, they successfully installed the LTE system in Montech's showroom, where it now impresses customers and underscores Montech's ability to innovate.
Together to the goal
The project challenged the trainees all the way down the line. It was a practical exercise and provided valuable knowledge and skills for the future. In addition, the trainees were given the opportunity to learn about new products and processes. Above all, however, they learned what it means to work as a team and solve problems together. The project was a complete success and demonstrates impressively how the combination of training and practical experience can lead to outstanding results. We congratulate and are proud of our young talents.
