Yaskawa- Transforming End-of-Line Operations using MAG1000 Conveyor Solution
Title:
Yaskawa’s cobot palletizing becomes fully autonomous with Botsync’s MAG1000 solution
Client Overview:
Yaskawa is a global leader in robotics and motion control. The company uses its own HC20DTP collaborative robot arm for high‑speed palletizing and wanted an end‑to‑end automation solution for moving finished pallets to storage and replenishing the workcell with empty pallets.
The Problem
Yaskawa’s existing system was only partially automated. While the cobot arm stacked items onto pallets, operators still had to manually move full pallets away and bring empty pallets back. This resulted in inefficient use of manpower, delays between palletizing cycles and a risk of errors or damage during transport. To fully unlock the value of robotic automation, they needed an integrated, autonomous internal transport system.
Our Solution
Botsync partnered with Yaskawa to integrate MAG1000 autonomous mobile robots with the cobot workcell using SyncOS™, a no‑code orchestration platform. MAG1000 units now pick up completed pallets and deliver them to the warehouse, then return with empty pallets for the cobot. SyncOS monitors the cobot’s status and automatically triggers AMR tasks as soon as a pallet is ready. The deployment required no custom programming or PLC modifications, making it easy to roll out.
Key Features
- Automated transport: MAG1000 robots autonomously move finished pallets from the cobot cell to storage.
- Auto replenishment: After dropping off a full pallet, the robot brings an empty one back to the cobot without operator input.
- Intelligent orchestration: SyncOS continuously tracks the cobot’s progress and assigns tasks to the AMR fleet in real time, ensuring just‑in‑time material flow.
- Plug‑and‑play deployment: The solution integrates with existing equipment without needing custom software or hardware changes.
Impact on Operations
- Hands‑free workflow: Pallet handling is now fully autonomous, reducing manual touchpoints and improving safety.
- Higher throughput: Continuous replenishment allows the cobot to maintain high cycle times without waiting for operators to swap pallets.
- Scalable architecture: The no‑code setup can be replicated across multiple lines or facilities.
- Real‑time visibility: Operators monitor task status and robot health through SyncOS dashboards.
Conclusion
By combining Botsync’s MAG1000 AMRs with SyncOS orchestration, Yaskawa turned a partially automated palletizing process into a fully autonomous material‑handling system. The solution cuts manual labor, boosts throughput and provides a scalable framework for future smart‑factory initiatives.
