SUHNER EFC-02 Electric Compliance System

Exact contact force with the surface is the single most important factor in robotic grinding, sanding, and deburring processes – and one of the biggest challenges. This is critical throughout the process regardless of variations in surface shape and orientation.

Suhner EFC-02 Active Compliance End Effector is fully electric. That means that by taking high-frequency measurements of both force and acceleration, the Suhner EFC-02 control algorithm dynamically adjusts the force and automates grinding processes, achieving consistent, high-quality surface finishes.

Power-HUB Options

The Power-Hub provides communication ports with external devices, a power supply for the EFC, and power supply for the servo-driven end effectors. For simple setup (example with Cobots), the EFC can work stand-alone, simply with a 48 V DC power supply and a Modbus TCP connection or web interface.
