Camera Link HS is designed to specifically meet the needs of vision and imaging applications. Image data and configuration data are carried between a camera and a frame grabber via low latency, low jitter, real-time GenCP protocol, providing easy integration.
Phase 1 offers Camera Link HS Machine Vision Cables. Image data and configuration data are carried between a camera and a frame grabber via low latency, low jitter, real-time GenCP protocol, providing easy software integration. The standard provides scalable bandwidths from 300 to 16,000 MB/s and features extremely reliable data delivery. Designed from a system point-of-view, the technology ensures that CMOS sensor technology can be fully leveraged, while providing for low-cost cameras and frame grabbers that meet the need for ease of use, flexibility, and data reliability. There are multi-vendor compliant cameras and components available. Copper or fiber optic cable options can be from 15 to more than 300 meters in length. Cable options with CameraLink HS include: Eight (8) cables maximum; 300 MB/s F1 fiber optic with 300+ meter distance (SFP connector); 1200 MB/s F2 fiber optic with 300+ meter distance (SFP+ connector); and 2100 MB/s C2 copper cable with 15 meter distance (CX4 connector).
