The RealSense™ Depth Camera D457 is the first in the RealSense lineup to feature a GMSL/FAKRA interface, combining high-bandwidth data transfer with automotive-grade reliability. Encased in an IP65-rated enclosure, the D457 is protected against dust and water, making it ideal for industrial and outdoor robotics applications. Its 87° × 58° field of view, 0.6–6 m range, and global shutter deliver fast, accurate 3D depth capture even in motion.
With the GMSL serializer and secure FAKRA connector, the D457 provides lower latency, reduced EMI noise, and longer cable runs than USB—up to 15 m over coax. An integrated IMU enhances spatial awareness for robotics, drones, and autonomous mobile robots (AMRs). Designed for reliability and performance, the D457 is supported by the RealSense SDK 2.0 and an open-source kernel driver for seamless integration across platforms.
