Image of Vactivator The main and unique features for a vacuum cylinder are:
  • Actuated by vacuum only
  • Fast and self-adjusting stroke (no positioning sensor needed)
  • Immediate retraction when an object is hit by the suction cup, without applying press force like a spring plunger/level compensator does
    • These features give a very simple solution for extension and retraction of suction cup(s) in picking applications (as well as “high speed” picking applications). It also gives much less risk to damage sensitive surface by press force versus using a conventional spring plunger/level compensator. For instance, vactivators are commonly used to pick paper sheets.
