Linear Modules for High Performance, Industrial Automation with High Force and Precision
Affordable, self-contained linear modules with ball screw drives and high precision encoders for high performance industrial handling and automation applications. The L-812 complements PI's V-855 direct-drive linear slide modules Available with stepper motors and synchronous servo motors the new ball-screw driven L-812 linear modules are designed with higher force applications in mind compared to the company's faster linear-motor driven slides. The new L-812 linear motion modules are equipped with recirculating ball bearings for high duty cycle applications. For applications that require a vertical linear slide, a holding brake is available.
Long Travel to 24", Multi-Axis Stage Configurations, Gantries Setups
L-812 linear motion modules are offered with motion ranges from 4” to 24”. Two modules can be combined to XY motion systems and with the availability of the brake, a Z-axis can be added for XYZ multi-axis motion and precision automation applications. The folded drive train with the motor side-by side with the linear stage reduces the length and facilitates integration. In combination with other linear stages and modules, complete Gantry-type cartesian linear robots can be built.
Stepper Motors and Servo Synchronous Motor Options
Synchronous motors are offered for faster, higher dynamics industrial applications. Synchronous motors have very long lifetime, a wide dynamic range and provide high torque, all prerequisites for 24/7 high accuracy positioning applications.
