The Factor 101 leverages the power-efficient Qualcomm QCS6490 Octa-Core Kyro 670 CPU for demanding edge applications. This industrial system integrates the Qualcomm Hexagon™ 770, a powerful AI engine utilization, to deliver up to 12 Dense TOPS of AI performance, enabling models for defect detection or predictive maintenance to run directly on the chip. Featuring 8 GB of LPDDR4x RAM, and 128 GB of UFS storage, the FR101 combines the CPU, AI accelerator, and image signal processor into a single, low-power system. This high-density integration allows for efficient and effective computer vision deployments, supporting the functionality to run up to 5 concurrent cameras from one compact system.
FANLESS, INDUSTRIAL SCALABILITY
Engineered for reliable deployment in demanding environments, the FR101 uses a fanless cooling design to ensure maximum uptime and prevent particle ingress. Its power-efficient 7W TDP, derived from rugged mobile technology, eliminates the need for active cooling, resulting in an ultra-small form factor and cost-effective device. The system supports an operating temperature range of 0 to 50°C. Beyond physical ruggedization, the FR101 is designed for long-term scalability; the QCS6490 chip features a 15-year lifecycle, ensuring your product designs will not have to pivot on core hardware.
HIGH-SPEED CONNECTIVITY AND MACHINE CONTROL
The FR101 is equipped for high-throughput data transfer and industrial application control. Networking is delivered via both a 1 GbE LAN port and a high-speed 10 GbE LAN port. This 10 GbE connection utilizes Qualcomm's companion chip architecture, providing a highly optimized path between the processor and the network to eliminate data bottlenecks in high-resolution vision applications. Other physical I/O includes 4x USB 3.0 Type-A ports, 1x USB 3.0 Type-C, an HDMI port for display, and an 8 Channel DIO (4 In/4 Out) for direct machine control and sensor integration. The system supports Ubuntu Linux and is prepared for future Windows on ARM support.
