GigE Vision Receiver SoC IP Solution from OKI IDS is a GigE Vision compliant receiver (frame grabber) platform embedded on SoC that controls GigE Vision Camera and receives camera image data by GigE Vision protocol over Gigabit Ethernet. By implementing receiver end GenICam within ARM processor (Linux-base) on SoC, control of GigE Vision camera and receipt of image from the camera can be achieved by SoC single chip. GigE Vision protocol stack/MAC driver/PHY driver are implemented on CPU in Programmable Logic of SoC, substantially reducing ARM processor load. Having UDP/IP Offload engine to extract camera image data from GigE Vision compliant Stream packet, it is possible to receive image data with making full use of Gigabit Ethernet bandwidth. This IP is connectable to multiple GigE Vision compliant cameras, allowing multiple real-time capturing of high bandwidth Ethernet images using GigE Vision protocol with single SoC chip. GigE Vision Receiver SoC IP Solution comes with reference design that works on Xilinx SoC, along with Linux development environment as ARM software deliverable, enabling shorter development time. Xilinx SoC is supported.
