Backlighting is one of the most effective methods of illumination in machine vision inspection, as the light placed behind an object produces a high contrast sharp sillouette with consistent edge definition for: object tracking, defect detection, precise measurements, and determining synthesis of parts.
Economical Backlights combine the latest high brightness LEDs with Metaphase's patent pending laser-edged Lumiform technology, to produce highly uniform (+/-5%), illumination, eliminating hotspots and glare.
This recent breakthrough in light guiding diffusion makes this one of Metaphase's most affordable models.
