The PROFIBUS Cable Standard is a solid AWG22 copper cable designed for fixed installation in PROFIBUS DP and PROFIBUS FMS networks in dry and wet industrial environments. Double shielding — a plastic-laminated aluminum foil layer combined with a tinned copper wire braid — makes the cable suited for installation in electromagnetically loaded areas where interference from drives, inverters, and other industrial equipment is present. The cable meets the electrical requirements of IEC 61158-2, DIN 19245 T3, and EN 50170 Type A, and supports PROFIBUS transmission rates from 9.6 kbps up to 12 Mbps. Compatible with PROFIBUS Fast Connect diagnostic connectors for IDC termination. Sold per meter, with required length entered in the quantity field at checkout.
